Collaboration Terms & Guidelines
Version:
These terms apply to reviewer collaborations, language editing, translation help, statistical support, and other research collaborations formed through RQL listings.
Core principles
- Respect & professionalism: no harassment, discrimination, or coercion.
- Confidentiality: do not share manuscripts/data outside the collaboration without permission.
- Authorship integrity: follow standard academic authorship norms; clarify contributions early.
- No guarantees: collaborators do not promise acceptance/publication outcomes.
- Attribution: if contributions warrant acknowledgment or authorship, discuss before work begins.
For reviewers / feedback providers
- Provide constructive, specific feedback and avoid personal attacks.
- Disclose conflicts of interest.
- Do not use unpublished ideas/data for your own work.
For editors / translators
- Preserve scientific meaning; flag unclear passages instead of guessing.
- Maintain terminology consistency; ask for a glossary when needed.
- Keep track of major changes so authors can review.
Payments & scope
If a listing indicates paid support, define scope, deliverables, timeline, and rate before starting. RQL is a collaboration platform and does not escrow funds in Phase 1.
